Pros and cons

  • Weighs just 2,313g
  • Neat gear cable tidy on front derailleur
  • Shifting and braking performance very similar to Dura Ace
  • Big jump in cost from Shimano 105, but this is largely justified

“The excellent Shimano Ultegra R8000 is similar in appearance, performance and setup to Shimano Dura-Ace but without the price tag” – Cycling weekly

“5/5 – Ultegra R8000 presents a host of real improvements over the already excellent 6800 series groupset, performing just as well as Dura-Ace 9100 at the cost of a 260g weight penalty” Bikeradar

“Ultegra R8000 is brilliant. Small improvements abound, and the brakes alone are a big improvement. It’s just so much performance for the money. Its function is so close to Dura Ace R9100 and its price is so much less.” – Lavelocita.cc

Our Ultegra R8000 Groupset Prices

Our aim is to make it as simple as possible to get the best Shimano Ultegra R8000 groupset prices, without having to spend hours trawling the internet. Most comparison sites use data feeds to update their tables automatically, but these aren’t widely available in the cycling world. So where we can’t automate price changes we check sites manually.

Most of our prices are updated on a daily basis, but where we’re performing manual checks there can be delays. If any of our Ultegra R8000 prices are out of date please let us know in the comments below and we’ll get right on it.

When you click through on one of our Ultegra R8000 deals, and then make a purchase, we sometimes get a commission from the retailer. Not all cycling shops do this, but where they do it has no affect the price you pay for your R8000 groupset and it helps to fund the upkeep of groupsets.cc so that we can continue offering the best groupset price comparison in the UK!
